Program Manager - Digital Advertising and CDP

Digital Advertising and CDP Program Manager – West Coast Account

The Program Manager is responsible for supporting the Digital Advertising Program and Customer Data Platform for one of Shift Digital’s clients, managed out of the Laguna Beach, CA office. This person will work to service the client in terms of program management, reporting requests, data analysis, dealer adoption, and supporting opportunities to optimize the success of dealer’s media performance. The Program Manager will maintain the roadmap and project plans, support client's requirements gathering, ad-hoc reporting requests and new feature/functionality development for their assigned projects and programs.
 
The Program Manager will serve as a liaison between the client, internal teams within Shift Digital (field consultants, dealer support, technology) and external vendors to ensure the best possible value is delivered to the client. He or she will also be responsible for monthly reporting tasks pertaining to program KPIs, dealer billing process, and program P&L.

The Program Manager will report to the Digital Advertising Sr. Program Manager within this account. 
 
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support the Digital Advertising program and Customer Data Platform with client satisfaction and program profitability top of mind
  • Operational management of dealer audiences
    • Ensure enrolled dealers have audiences enabled / cancelled dealers have audiences disabled
    • Ensure enrolled dealers have proper platforms activated (Google, Meta, TradeDesk)
  • Manage vendor execution of audience, identify implementation and execution best practices
    • QA execution at a dealer level to ensure accuracy
    • Work with vendors to correct issues
    • Work with Google/Meta/TradeDesk to understand platform nuances and determine best practices
  • Monitor performance of CDP audiences, identifying opportunities for campaign improvements, and manage all ongoing reporting
    • Pull overall audience performance metrics from internal Analytics and Broadcast platforms 
    • Pull campaign specific reports from Google and Meta directly
    • Develop monthly CDP Audience reporting for client and/or internal leadership teams
  • Responsible for determining the evolution of audience strategy
  • Responsible for determining opportunities for product growth, including identifying new revenue opportunities
  • Work with OEM and Agency partners to collaborate on x-tier audience strategy
  • Manage billing/co-op submission for CDP products
  • Other general responsibilities:
    • Support projects from beginning to final delivery to client across all lines of business within the program
    • Provide direction to internal Shift Digital teams (field consultants, delivery, and dealer support) based on client needs
    • Manage program scope and client expectations and develop contingency plans with the support of the Sr. Program Manager and Director
    • Manage program status including milestone tracking, budget, allocation, and open issues with the support of the Sr. Program Manager and Director
    • Proactively support QA activities on program solutions to be delivered to the client
    • Provide in-depth analytical analysis of performance of products and services using tools provided
    • Manage requirement gathering, project plans, program development and delivery of new features or functions with the support of the Sr. Program Manager and Director
    • Support the roll out of opportunities for growth and/or new programs 
    • Manage dealer billing, effectively coordinating with billing teams, external vendor teams, dealer support, and dealers.
    • Effectively contribute to regular status meetings with client on relevant program topics, including day-to-day tactics and longer-term objectives
 
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Proactive self-starter with effective time management skills
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Program management skills necessary to manage various and numerous projects while tracking progress against KPIs and time to completion
  • Strong understanding of media landscape (automotive media landscape preferred) from either Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 perspective
  • Understanding of the digital space, associated analytics, and delivery of technology solutions
  • Comfortable speaking with/in front of dealers, clients and regional representatives
  • Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to actively promote a cooperative team environment and positive client relationship
  • Desire to own success of projects
  • Strong analytical and data skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • 3 years of experience in Digital Marketing
  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Automotive experience is preferred
  • Understanding of Shift Digital product set is preferred

At Shift, many factors are taken into account when determining a reasonable compensation range for any given role. Some of these factors include, but are not limited to: skillset, location, years of experience, licenses, certifications, and business/organizational needs. The following compensation range is specific to New York City, Colorado, Nevada, California, and Washington residents only. While we do provide an estimated salary range, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top range for their role. A reasonable estimate for this role is: $80,000 - $100,000.
