Sparking Website Potential with Customized Strategies
Shift Digital recently introduced a new program called SPARK, which is dedicated to dealers and provides personalized analytics beyond the dashboards that Shift Digital offers to all its customers. SPARK is an initiative designed to give dealerships:
- Insightful analysis of website performance and key metrics regarding sales pages
- Website optimization suggestions tied to measurable KPIs
- Opportunities to collaborate more with Shift Digital personnel and gain more resources to improve their digital strategy
As part of Shift Digital’s SPARK pilot program, we analyzed key performance indicators like click-through rates, CTA performance, form submissions on vehicle pages, and menu navigation. The team provided custom recommendations to each dealer and explained the changes they could make to improve outcomes. After benchmarking each dealer’s website performance to measure success, we rolled out several website modifications and monitored the data to evaluate results.
For one dealership, for example, we recommended changing the “Confirm Availability” CTA text from black to red for another dealership. While this may seem like a minor adjustment, the resulting impact was substantial. After changing the "Confirm Availability" button to red on the VDP, we observed a 60 percent increase in form submissions, as compared to the 30 days before the modification was implemented.
